What is Hookah Diving? Quite simply, hookah diving is when air is supplied to one or more divers from an air compressor that stays on the surface. The oil-less compressor that is at the heart of every Brownie’s hookah system pumps air through a hose to the diver or divers below. At the end of the hose is a breathing device called a regulator that delivers air to the diver. Hookah diving is a great alternative or compliment to scuba diving because it eliminates bulky equipment, costly tank fills and gear storage issues. Hookah diving also has many other advantages including less required gear and constant contact with other divers in the same group and a virtually unlimited air supply. To meet the variety of diving needs that exist, Brownie’s offers a wide range of systems that make diving easy from just about anywhere. |
