The heart of every BIASThe actual 24V variable-speed compressor module—shown without the optional battery module.

A cleaner way to equip a dive boat

Keep the deck open and the water within reach

BIAS turns tankless diving into part of the boat. The compressor stays mounted in a protected, properly ventilated location while quick-release air connections make it easy to rig the system when it is time to dive.

Hidden below deck

Move the compressor off the swim platform and out of the way of everyday boating.

Push-button operation

Electric power means no gasoline, pull cord or exhaust at the surface.

Built around your boat

Choose your power source and add the E-Reel when integrated hose storage matters.

Ready for a dive buddy

Every configuration begins as a complete two-diver basic package.

Choose divers, power and hose management

Every combination starts with the same BIAS Tankless Dive Module. Choose equipment for two or three divers, decide whether to add the dedicated battery module, and select manual hose storage or the powered E-Reel.

Power

Use your power or add ours

The dive module operates on 24V DC. Choose the dedicated battery module for a matched onboard energy source and built-in charging from the boat’s 12V system.

Hose management

Keep it simple or reel it in

The optional E-Reel gives the hose a permanent home and powered retrieval, helping keep a finished installation clean and fast to deploy.

Without E-ReelUse the basic hose setup and stow it manually after the dive.
With E-ReelAdds a 140 ft hose, quick disconnect, stainless hawse fitting and rocker switch.

Optional powered hose management

Deploy the hose. Reel it back in.

The E-Reel turns the diver hose into part of the boat’s finished installation. A rocker switch powers retrieval while the stainless-steel hawse provides a clean route through the hull or cabinetry.

140 ft hose includedProvides the working length for the BIAS diver setup.
Powered retrievalBring the hose back aboard without manually coiling the full length.

  • Pressure-switch control
  • King StarBoard mounting base with pre-drilled mounting holes
  • Complete basic breathing-air equipment for two divers
  • Two basic tow belts
  • One basic gear bag

Keep air connection and ballast separate

Each diver package includes a basic tow belt for connecting the diver to the Brownie’s air hose. Pair it with a separate Bright Weights belt for comfortable, adjustable ballast without loading weight onto the tow belt.

  • Basic tow belt remains dedicated to the air-hose connection
  • 500 g Bright Weights slugs slide in and out of the weight belt
  • Adjust ballast without unthreading the belt
  • Marine-grade stainless buckle supports quick ditching
  • Choose the belt color and only the number of slugs each diver needs

Weight belts and individual weights must be selected and used according to the diver’s training, exposure protection, conditions and buoyancy requirements.

Why consider Spare Air?

The BIAS supplies breathing air from the boat through the diver hose. Spare Air gives the diver a separate, compact breathing source that does not depend on the compressor, boat power or surface hose.

  • Independent from the BIAS and its hose
  • Compact 3 cu. ft. refillable cylinder
  • Designed for emergency use—not as a primary dive-air source
  • Available per diver, so each person can be equipped consistently

Spare Air does not replace training, conservative dive planning or the need to remain prepared to make an emergency ascent. Divers must use an appropriate, secure carry method and follow the current manufacturer instructions.

Plan the installation

New build, refit or a “new to you” boat

A good BIAS installation starts with a dry, ventilated equipment location and a clear plan for power, clean air intake and hose access.

Brownie's BIAS fresh-air intake socket and hose package

Secure mounting

The compressor module is supplied on a King StarBoard base with pre-drilled mounting holes. It must be securely fastened before operation.

Clean breathing-air source

The installation area must be dry and well ventilated. If breathable air is not available at the compressor location, plan a fresh-air intake to a clean source.

Power planning

Confirm conductor size, run length, circuit protection and charging arrangements with a qualified marine installer before installation.

Project support

Contact Brownie’s before finalizing the installation when you need foundation drawings or guidance coordinating the system with a boat builder or yard.

Preparation matters

Train, plan and be ready

Breathing underwater involves inherent risk. Proper instruction, installation, maintenance, dive planning and emergency preparation are essential.

Get properly trained

Training access codes are included with the product. Divers can complete Brownie’s online training and receive completion certificates before using the system. Divers should follow the current Brownie’s instructions, stay within the limits of their training, experience and equipment, and remain prepared to make an emergency ascent.

Explore Brownie’s online training →

Consider independent backup air

For dives beyond a depth at which a diver is personally comfortable making a controlled free-swimming ascent, many experienced divers carry an independent emergency breathing source. Backup equipment does not replace training or proper dive planning.
