In June 2005, beginning with serial number 12039, Brownie’s implemented a technology update to the Valve Plate Assembly.
To determine whether your system uses the older valve plate design, you need to open the unit and inspect the valve restraint. If the restraint is black and made of plastic,
you have the older style and will need the upgrade to ensure compatibility with the current flapper valves. The updated valve restraint is made of aluminum.
You will need two for a single-head direct drive compressor, and four for a dual-head direct drive compressor. (Not sold as a set)
